Course Reviews

Course Name The J.R. Golf Course
Location St. Albert, Alberta, Canada
Comments from Gerry Pearson, St. Albert, Alberta, Canada
JR Golf course sounds like something from TV but this JR is sure not for the couch potato as it has some pretty long holes with lots of water play to the challenge even the most experienced player. A definite fun course to play for the value of your dollar. The only thing missing from this course is sand traps and you'll understand after playing that it would be impossible to have sand traps due to the water which surrounds the course. There was an attempt to put some traps in and you can see that on hole ten which has become over grown and now just poses a rough playing hazard. The Signature hole is the second and is intimidating with water on your right when you are teeing off. I found the most difficult hole was the 17 as it had water on both sides and a narrow fairway which doglegs right just a bit at the end making it difficult to see the green from the tee and even after driving safely, a challenging hole indeed. I recommend playing this course as it is a fun course to play and you can learn plenty about yourself here as a golfer.
