The Fremont County Golf Course is the best little 9 hole course I have played on in quite some time. Fairway water, bent grass greens and 3 dogleggs make it a sight and challenging. Fees are very nominal, under $20 for 9 holes with a cart! Most days you can "walk on" and go. After 3 the course fills up but the people and the club pro make it an "almost" country club feel but with a very private atmosphere. Go on over and play. Tell Jack, the pro of 22 years I sad "hi". | For the price, this is the best little 9-hole course I've seen. The watered fairways are always in nice condition and the greens are a bit fast. The hardest hole on the course is #7, a long par four dogleg left. It is reachable in two but should prabably have been a par five. All in all this course is my favorite in SW Iowa. April/01 |
