| Numerous signature holes, specially designed senior tees a unique strain of grass and plenty of natural beauty will make every round of golf at The Club at Eaglebrooke a pleasant and memorable experience. The 18- hole, championship course is specially designed to be in total harmony with the natural environment. Designed by one of the world's foremost golf course architects, Ron Garl, the Club at Eaglebrooke golf course is in a league of its own, featuring not just one, but numerous signature holes. The most memorable of these is the scenic 13th, featuring a unique "island fairway" connected to the green and other parts of the golf course by bridges. Other memorable and very challenging Eaglebrooke holes are the 8th, which features three large sand traps and a beach-type bunker to the right of the green; the 14th, which offers lots of water and bulkheads; the 15th, which features a beach bunker wrapped around a lake and the green, and the 18th, which offers the ultimate challenge with its green situated atop a bulkhead. Eaglebrooke is the first golf course in the world offering tees designed specifically for senior golfers. The tee-to-pin distances resulted from a national survey of nearly 10,000 senior golfers compiled by Senior Golfer magazine in concert with Ron Garl. The Club at Eaglebrooke is also the first golf course in the United States using the new GN-1 or "Greg Norman"- brand grass on all 18 holes. In addition to being greener than green, this hybrid grass makes the ball sit up higher than other grasses, and offers superior cold tolerance and recovers more quickly from wear and tear. The natural beauty of The Club at Eaglebrooke is greatly enhanced by elevation changes of up to 100 feet, a free-flowing "brooke" and eight beautiful lakes. In designing the course, Garl went out of his way to capitalize on these and other unique features of the 370-acre tract housing The Club at Eaglebrooke. Perhaps the best assessment of The Club at Eaglebrooke comes from Ron Garl himself who has already proclaimed it one of his finest projects. "Eaglebrooke could be the greatest golf course in Florida," says Garl, whose portfolio includes such outstanding Central Florida courses as Grenelefe South, University Park (Sarasota), Bloomingdale and Golden Ocala. |
