Course Reviews

Course Name City of Adelaide Golf Links (North Adelaide - South Course)
Location Adelaide, South Australia, Australia
Comments from Peter Norman, Adelaide, South Australia
The South Course of the City of Adelaide Golf Links would have to be the most picturesque metropolitan public golf course in Australia, if not the world. Set in the Adelaide parklands the golfer is presented with stunning views of the Adelaide CBD (less than 2km away), with the Adelaide hills as a backdrop, from several vantage points around the course. Well established gums and other native trees are interspersed with the occasional massive Moreton Bay Fig to provide a test for the wayward golfer. Anywhere else in the world this location would be hidden away as an exclusive private golf club, but here in Adelaide the public can play this excellent course for less than $20.
In addition there is an 18 hole North Course, which, although being shorter, still provides a golfing challenge due to the tightness of its fairways and its tricky contoured greens.
A Par 3 course is also available overlooking the River Torrens.
