A splendid golf course incorporating both beauty and treachery.

First of all this is the oldest golf course in Italy. I would recommend this course to any golfer traveling to Rome.
I took a cab from my hotel near the Spanish Steps and it cost me around $35,000 lira or $18US. The golf was $80,000 lira or $40 US (It was a weekday). The trip was well worth it. The first first 6 holes on the course are relativly short and not to difficult. The 7th is a par five that measures approximately 530 yards. Whats makes this hole special is that on the approach shot, you are looking at an enormus Roman Aquduct. The 8th and 9th holes are classic par 4's. The 8th has a sinister green that I would describe as a volcano. If you miss this green you will be 10 feet below the putting surface with a very difficult chip or putt. The 9th is a long up hill hole to a very small green.

The first 2 holes on the back nine are fairly easy. The 12th is probably the best hole on the course. Its a 440 yard par 4 dogleg right with a hazard down most of the right side. The next four holes are good holes but not to difficult. The 17th and 18th are both excellent holes. The 17th is a beautiful downhill par 4 of about 410 yards. The drive must be positioned on the right side of the fairway to provide an unobstructed shot at the green. The second shot is to a long narrow green. The 18th is an uphill par 4. The second shot is up a mountain, it must be an additional 2 to 3 clubs to get up the hill.

Please note that this course is by no means flat. Typical of the area around Rome the golf course is on very undulating terrain.

This was a fun course to play with a lot of diversity in the terrain. It is definately not flat! There were a surprising number of blind shots, especially if your ball finds any of the many valleys on the course. The view of the Aquaduct is fantastic. There is a full service clubhouse with a nice staff. If in Rome with some time this is well worth while.

This is class! Comfortable clubhouse, good reception. Spectacular course. There are some par 4´s that look inviting but punish you in the end. You will never forget the 8th or the 17th hole. Only drawback are blind-approaches even after good drives. Worth every penny of a generous greenfee!
