| Finest greens in N.W. Iowa. Great driving range with 2 practice greens as well as chipping area. Par 3s ave. 178yds.; par 4s ave. 396yds. from back tees. PGA pro runs facility and teaches on site. |

This course is wide open most of the time. It features some very very tall prarie grass along the course. The greens are have amazing roll to them although my group found them a little unaccepting. We played to course in mid March so the course did not have much time to green up yet. There aren't hardly any trees on the course except for a few holes on the front nine, but the course is still a real challenge. A couple of guys in my group played here in September and said the course was in championship condition so later is better on this one. We played from the back tees which made some of the holes very long, such as the 232 yard par 3 #17 and the 457 yard par 4 #18. Hitting the ball straight is definately not a must but par can be extremely difficult with even minor errant tee shots. Overall, my early spring experience was a little dissapointing, but fun. Looking forward to playing it again in late summer. April/00 |
