This was an enjoyable walk ruined by an overprice attempt at commercialization. I spent $70.00 to play on a course that should be in the $20-$25 range. The other courses I played while in S.C this time were less expensive at least half this price and the y were better cared for and better shape. The best thing I can say about this course is you have a great view of The Witch.

Like Russ from Pennsylvania, I thought this course was somewhat overrated....fairways were somewhat patchy, the greens surfaces hard, most holes relatively nondescript, and the staff could have been friendlier. Oh, incidentally, the view from the putting green is of the Wizard, NOT the Witch!

Unlike the other reviews I have read this course is one of my favorites on the Grand Strand. In all the years our group has been going down there it is the only course we play every time. We have always found the course in prime shape, with fairways like carpet and greens fast, smooth, and true. Being part of our resort package I cannot comment on price.
I will admit that it is not the most challenging course in the area but the water makes it visually stimulating. Wide open fairways with young trees and large greens give your game a confidence boost after playing some of the tighter courses that are not in better shape.
