Course Reviews

Course Name Cherokee Hills Golf and Country Club
Location Murphy, North Carolina, USA
Comments from Jason Turner, Cullowhee, North Carolina, USA
One of the most disappointing courses I ever played. Course conditions were poor, as well as the layout. Several holes are decent (i.e. 3,17), but 4-8 are bad enough to make you consider leaving. You often do not see the green you are trying to hit. This coupled with less than wonderful carts left a lot to be desired. One of the least pleasurable courses I have ever played. Rarely do you have the opportunity to see the hole with the tee or second shot. The mountain landscape is used to the detriment of the course. However, the greens play well and the price is reasonable. You can play it, but don't expect too much.

I have played moet of the courses in western n.c. over the last five years; I have played CHEROKEE HILLS many times. CHEROKEE HILLS is as good as any course in western n.c., and it's condition is the best it's ever been in, CHEROKEE HILLS is a MUST PLAY COURSE for anyone that is in the MURPHY area.

Played golf in Ohio to Fl. and have none better to play than Cherokee Hills. It is one that you can play over and over and never get tired of the beautifull scenery and rolling hills. And most of all how nice you are treated by it's staff.
