Course Reviews

Course Name Le Blainvillier
Location Blainville, Quebec, Canada
Comments from Louis Carriere, Blainville, Quebec, Canada
The second course (Le Royal) is almost as difficult. There are close to 20 holes with water hazards. These are the 2 highest slopes in Quebec. The club has been open since 1991. In 1997, Fred Couples came to try the course with Patrick Roy and was asking why there is no major tournaments played here! The American Express Cup (match play) was played on the Royal in 1997. Tee off, fairways and greens are bent. If you are not on the fairway, you are in the woods. When we have some guests playing, they usually add 5 to 10 stokes to their normal game.

Comments from Stuart Graham, Aylmer, Quebec, Canada
This private course is in the top five of Quebec. The Blainvillier offers two course Le Royal and L'Hertiage. Le Royal is a very unforgiving par 71, slope 141, 6330 from the blues, challenge. You must get off the tees or you might have to lay up. Most holes offer some difficulty around the greens. So, hit the green or risk losing one or two strokes. Most holes are lined by trees on both sides of the fairway and there are an equal amount of holes that have water.. Hole 11 has 3 water hazards... Drive over water avoiding the right water hazard around 240 yrs thus setting up decision of laying up or going for it... The problem is on the left side of the green more water. Summary : Both Courses... It can be a humbling expierence...
