Course was fantastic and in great condition. When the wind picked up in the back 9 it became a challenge but enjoyable. Would recommend it 100%

Great test, lots if fun.

Super friendly shop staff and starter, very welcoming and professional. Course has lost a lot of deep rough but it still pays to stay on the fairway. Greens good and true, fast and responsive. Excellent value, highly recommended.

Late September round

We really enjoyed this course. We had a late tee off time, course was quiet and we were welcomed on arrival. Tried to get round while it remained light and we almost made it. Course was in great condition, green were excellent and true.

For the time of year I was very impressed with the course, clearly run by very capable green staff.

I would definitely recommend but try to get out before 5pm late September to finish your round!

Green Fee

Green Fee overpriced. We were expecting the course to be in better condition. Some fairways had a lot of water on that you had to take relief from. Greens were ok. Staff were very pleasant and food was ok in the clubhouse. Wouldn’t call it a links course.

Overpriced

Green fee overpriced. We were expecting to find a course in excellent condition, however some of the fairways had standing water and weren’t in very good condition. Greens were ok, staff very pleasant and food was ok. Didn’t feel like a links course.

Great for Winter Play

The previous week, there had been snow, rain, and frosty conditions. Despite this, the course was in fine shape for play. Play was to regular greens which were actually fairly smooth and true. Starter gives you the option of using a portable mat for play from the fairways or moving the ball to the first cut of rough. As there isn't really any rough to speak of, that is by far the better option. Many tees were moved forward, shortening the course, but this seemed fair due to the windy conditions (around 20-30 mph avg that day).

Wet weather

I played the course on the last day of using the winter tees so course was a bit shorter than normal but full greens in play. Of course meant it was cheaper and was allowed to play form the edge of the fairway without a mat.
Great course and would love to play it in the middle of the season, it was quite a calm day, did rain for around 4 holes but I can imagine when it's blustery it would be a bit of a challenge.

Good course with more features than the normal links

Played here in March the course was in good condition for the time of year. We were required to move the ball of the fairway to semi rough which seams a very sensible option instead of using fairway mats. The cousre layout is great lots of separation between holes which gave us the feeling we had the course to ourselves although the car park was full. I would have no hesitation in going back to Nairn Dunbar.

Excellent course to play golf whilst on holiday

The people in the pro shop, the members on the first tee, the ground staff we spoke with on the course and the bar staff were all very friendly and welcoming.
We kept coming to holes where we said this is a great looking hole. The course wasn't too difficult to play until you went offline and then the score could add up quickly.
Will play the course again when in the area and will recommend it to our golfing friends.

There were several hole we came to and kept saying this is a lovely hole.

Great day out. The Pro shop, the members we met on the first tee, the ground staff we talked to on the course and the bar staff were all extremely friendly and helpful.
The course wasn't that difficult until you put the ball in the wrong place and then the score could add up very quickly.
Would recommend this course to anyone and will play again when we are in the area.
