The Derrick is a mature course, with some of the most interesting holes in Alberta, #7 is possibly the toughest par four in Edmonton. The greens are maintained fast and true. Narrow fairways surrounded by mature trees. The Derrick has hosted a number of prestigious tournaments, including number of Provincial Championships as well as the Canadian Amateur. In June 2000 the Club will host the Telus Edmonton Open, a Canadian Professional Golf Tournament.
