The hardest course I have evry played by far! I have heard Pros say that if this course was in a more accessible location, that it would be rated with the likes of Spy Glass, Spanish Bay, etc. One of California's best layouts. The Club did major work on the course several years back to improve the fairway conditions. If you get the chance to play here, schedule two days...The first to play it and the second to review what went wrong! There is not an easy hole on the course. It is similar to Lake of T he Pines CC with OB and homes on each side of most fairways. Another similar private course is just up the road at Lake Wildwood CC. These three courses are 30 mins apart from each other and would make for a great trip. They are all Private (Alta is Se mi-Private), but most will let you play if you belong to another club
