Old Lake, close to Budapest, is the Milli Vanilli of Hungarian golf courses. Real golf lovers will not like this course, although it is perfect for amatuers. Fairways are built with grass plugs, but poorly watered, resulting in hard-pack fairways. If you hit a 250 meter drive, your ball will roll another 100 meters. As well, tee boxes are shabby and greens are cheap. You know you are in a cheesy golf setting when you get to hole 15, a "horseshoe" shaped fairway. Terrible.
