The 36-hole course at Nová Amerika consists of the three independent 9-hole courses (with championship parameters and pars 36) and the 9-hole academy with par 27. The main goal of golf architect Stephan Friedreich was to design three championship courses with different character. Woodland is designed in a typical European style. Somewhat narrow fairways, bunkers placed at tactically advantageous spots, water hazards. In brief, it is a course which fits into the Czech landscape as if it had been there since ages ago. Maple Hills is a typical American course. Lengthy fairways surrounded by huge bunkers. Large ponds almost touching the fairways. Greens on tiny half-islands which will punish any inaccuracy. Big fountains and small waterfalls are underlining greatness and marvels of this course. The Bohemian Garden is quite a different course. The architect strove to imitate an English links course. The Bohemian Garden is located at the highland in Nová Amerika which is permanently exposed to winds. Fairways were treated with a special kind of sand in order to decrease the pH of the soil. Thus, grass grows slowly and becomes tougher. Fairways are framed with high grass islands which are nicely moving as one body in the wind. In addition, typical features of the Czech landscape will be incorporated in the face of the Bohemian Garden in order to emphasize all natural marvels of this piece of land. The professional greenkeeping crew keeps the course in real perfect condition. Shortly it is a course you should not miss!!!
