If you only have one opportunity to play golf in Singapore, you can't go wrong playing at Sentosa. The course is beautifully maintained with some spectacular views of the Singapore harbor and city.
The Tanjong course is about 6500 yd from the middle tees. They were adding another nine to the Serapong to make it another full 18 when I played in April 2001. This is truly a downhill-uphill course for both nines. There are a few flat holes, but they are not memorable. The par 3 5th hole is vertical up the hills only to be followed by the par 5 6th which is played from the peak back down into the valley. The 11th par 4 up the hill and 12th par 3 down give you the reverse kind of play, with water hazards to contend with. Both the 9th and 18th are finishing holes up the hills towards the clubhouse.
This is a wonderful and challenging course, Highly recommended. The club house and staff are first rate.
