Sandpiper Golf Club is situated amidst a centuries-old forest of Douglas fir along the banks of the Harrison River. Mt Woodside provides the backdrop for the course, lending not only scenic views but also a challenging terrain. The golf course features tricky slopes and contours but there are also more player-friendly features including wide-open fairways that make the course more approachable for beginners. Despite the soft undulations, the course is a pleasurable walk and the immaculate greens are another nice feature. The layout combines open holes that play along the river with holes that are tucked away in the forest, providing an interesting variety of challenges. The par-5 15th hole is Sandpiper Golf Club's signature both for its scenery and level of difficulty. A large footprint supposedly left by Sasquatch is the trademark feature that guards the green on this hole.

Sandpiper is getting better and better each year I play. Under the direction of Ted Swaine the property has soared.

The course is always in great shape, its unique layout and BC mountain and river backdrop make it always an emotional and enjoyable round.

The addition of new cabins, and the option to stay and play with such a high end whistler type feel, have given the property a much higher family tourism value .

There isn't anything negative I can say about this operation.

If you see Ted on the grounds, give him a high five, I know he has worked extremely hard to make this one of BC best properties, as the BC Advisor, I can say, it's there now.

World class waterside views

A very playable resort course with fast greens, good bunkers and hospitable staff. A memorable setting that's worth the scenic drive all year round.

Slipping a bit

Seeing as I live 5 mins away I consider this my home course. Unfortunately, their maintenance has fallen short over the last decade. It hasn’t turned into s cow pasture however a once beautiful lush course is starting to deteriorate more noticeable on certain holes. They’ve had new owners for 3-4 years and started to make steps in the right direction with letting some management go that were bleeding the company financially. There’s still a couple more that should leave and with better leadership this course has potential to be the great destination course it once was.

Great spot to play and worth the drive. Bring along the River with the back drops of mountains makes this a feel good day out on the property.

Pace of play has always been good there, holes have Character, and the price is bang on.

Rowena's is on the property which is a great spot for fine dining after your round. You can even make a night of it in their cabins!

Only thing missing is a driving range, other than that, it's a place I frequently enjoy.
