The Orient is one of the best maintained clubs in Taiwan both on and off the golf course. The course has wide and gently rolling fairways. The trees are yet too young to pose any serious problems. Water comes into play on a number of holes. The greens are well contoured and fast by local standards. Those who have played the Orient on a windless day from the forward tee would consider it a piece of cake. The course can be made more challenging by playing from the back tees with the pins tucked away in interesting positions.
