Course #1 is designed by Stanley Thompson and is a great course. It is a unique course in the area and provides more of a challenge than the newer courses in the area. Thompson has designed a classic course - long and difficult holes which are subtley very challenging. Many elevated and well-protected greens. Par 3's and Par 4's tend to be long and difficult. Overall, an excellent course and worth driving the extra 15-20 minutes.
