The Cockerel Golf Club is the only one of its kind in the Capital city, Ranchi, of the new state of Jharkhand, India. It is a prefered-lie course, with 13 greens, 5 of which are repeated to make the full 18 holes. Some holes are difficult, especially the par 3's, with water hazards, and in two holes, the ball has to carry over a small copse.
