Triple Crown Country Club, Independence, Kentucky, USA

 Located just 20 miles from downtown Cincinnati Ohio Triple Crown is five years old having been designed by Gene Bates formerly with the Nicklaus group. From the back tees the course is 7100 yards long playing to a par of 72 and a slope rating of 139 from the tips. The course is so difficult that six of the holes do not need any sand bunkers. Water is plentiful but fair. The course has been rated as the fourth best in Kentucky by Golf Digest but that is only because the course is so new and as yet has not hosted a tournament of major significance. Membership in this private club is composed of Northern Kentuckians and the greater Cincinnati community. Few doubt that upon maturity it will be the best golf course in the metropolitan area which includes such nationally ranked courses as Camargo and Coldsream Country Club......Gregory Kepley, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
