You will see what shape a course gets in when it only costs $12 for the locals. Terrible condition!!!! Obviously a great track, but beat to death by over playing. Can't say we had a good time because it's no fun putting on chewed up, muddy greens. Don' t understand the hype. Never going back.

I really liked the course. It's great that some more famous course still has reasonable greenfees so that a normal tourist can enjoy it. And it was in great shape at least in March 1997 when I visited it.

Torrey Pines is a wonderful course. You could shoot the worst score you ever have shot before and still have one of the best times there. People are really friendly and very informative. The view is spectacular and some holes are very different and awesome and you would never find on any other course. One hole i got sourounded by coyotes, i would say it was one of the greatest experinces in golf i have ever experinced. Definitly going again.
