| Washingtons finest 9 hole championship, authentic Scottish links style course. Only 35 minutes from downtown Seattle, located in the scenic rural Maple Valley countryside, Taylor Creek plays very dry year round, never any temporary greens or mats, and is always in excellent condition. Huge rolling mounds, deep grass bunkers, hidden sand pot bunkers, several carries over wetlands to fairways. Water hazards come into play on several holes. Massive old growth evergreen trees scattered throughout course. Holes 5 an 6 play through an Ancient apple orchard. You feel like you have just been transported to Ireland or Scotland for a round of golf. The third hole is named "Buried Elephants" and is one of the most unique golf holes in the world, "I was less than 85 yards from the green in the middle of the fairway surrounded by huge mounds, and still I could only see the tip of the flagstick!" Every hole has its own special name which reflects the challenges awaiting golfers. The historic 4 story, classic white stucco carftsman style Olson Mansion is a focal point of the course and serves as the proshop/clubhouse and special events facility. This course is truly one of a kind and is a real pleasure to play-anytime! It is a true test of golfing ability. As they say at Taylor Creek, "COME TAKE THE CHALLENGE" |
