| I played Spring Valley for the first time this past weekend. It's a GREAT course! Very challenging with some very interesting water hazards. The 9th and 18th hole tees are side-by-side on a hill over a pond - more like a lake. It can be a little inti midating to the beginning golfer. The course is situated in the rolling hills above Milpitas. The course itself is hilly and well maintained. There's a driving range and a nice clubhouse too. I think it's a par 70 - although your stats show it as being a par 72. I will definitely play Spring Valley again. |

| Spring Valley is the epitome of "muni-golf." It's a very short, easy course that's designed for beginners. A few holes on the back nine are quite attractive, but the slowness of play and flat terrain make it pretty boring. If you can't get on anywhere else, give it a try. Otherwise, steer clear. |

| I can't agree less with the guy who calls this a flat uninteresting course. He obviously must have been playing at San Jose Muni or Riverside if he is talking about flat. The greens are especially tough on the back nine. Lots of elevation changes make this a really good course enjoy. Greens are almost always soft enough to hold a good approach shot but firm enough to putt well. Try it, you will return. |

| Short rough and fairways. #1 is reachable in one. Hole #2 if it's the flat hill one hit one more club than you think, if it's the downhill one, don't go past the pin. You might want to hit irons off some of the par fours. Watch out on #15 green the ball b reaks opposite of what you see. No blind shots on this course, that is good. Holes' #9 and #18 are the hardest on the course. |

Recent multi-million dollar facelift to the course and the new clubhouse and restaraunt make this one of the top muni's in the Santa Clara Valley. Slow play on weekends but worth a round! Very walkable course. March/99 |

I have played this course since age 8. The driving range was the perfect place to warm up. It was not just plain and barren like most of the ones I'd been to. The cool shady breeze relaxes you as you put up your shot. There is no challenge unless you're in the bunker. October/99 |

I think this is the most improved course in Santa Clara valley, an the best maintained. There are many improvements. New greens, club house and pro shop. The employees that we talk to are very nice. The drainage has improved very much. The course drains very well. New tee boxes on some holes. Fairways are very playable. Stay in them. Some grees are very tricky especially #4,#13,#14,#15 an #16. Play it. You will enjoy the view an the course. March/00 |

Spring Valley is a nice rolling course. The wide fairways, tee placement, and variety of trees make for interesting and challenging opportunity. Good course for beginners to learn to play the natural foundation of a course, but challenging enough for those who have been around for awhile. The water hazards more than make up for fewer sand traps.... Course is not too flat, and you will certainly get a workout on some of the uphill challenges. July/00 |
