Harbour View, which for two years I called my home course, is an excellent course for beginers. With it's short to medium length par threes and four holes where water comes in to play. I learned the game there. Although there are some realatively shor t and easy holes, the water holes, particularly the ninth, make it worth the small green fees. (prices range from $6 for juniors to $12 for adults). Harbour View is owned by the City of Winnipeg and is public. Possibly the only complaint is that on hot summer days, combined with the cheap green fees, it can become quite busy. If you are interested in golfing here the best time would be on a weeknight or early or late in the season, this is strictly to avoid the wait on the tee boxes.
