This is the home of the Gene Sarazen World Championship Tournament. There are three course: Legends, Woodlands and Chateau. The Legends course (home to the tournament) is strictly private. The other two are public / resort courses. I played the Woodl ands course a couple of times last week (Sept. 96), and it's a great course. The front nine is nice and not too challenging, but the back nine is great. Lots of trees (as you might expect), plenty of water and just enough tricky stuff to make it fun. Wa tch out for the deer trotting across the fairways. By the way, the hotel at Chateau Elan is fantastic. It has its own winery, tennis center and equestrian facility. I'm hoping to host a sales conference there someday. Perfect site for it.
