I played Carmel Highlands because I couldn't get into Torrey Pines or Coronado. I was pleasantly surprised. This is a very pretty, well-maintained course in north San Diego. It's set in rolling hills at the Doubletree Hotel off highway 15 - overlooking the freeway. The facilities are great - great clubhouse and great pro shop. And very reasonably priced. I'd recommend it to anyone. Beware, because it's inland, it can get pretty hot in the summer.
