Stanhope Golf & Country Club is conveniently situated near Prince Edward's Island's most popular beaches. The club overlooks the cliffs of Covehead Bay, just minutes away from the island's scenic north shore. Canadian architect Robbie Robinson designed the golf course in a traditional links-style. Robinson is the man behind another popular PEI course, Mill River. Stanhope's classic layout has been around since 1970, and it still offers a good game. It is mostly flat but what it lacks in elevation it makes up for in bunkers and water hazards that come in the form of a lake and several small ponds. Stanhope Golf & Country Club also becomes much more difficult when the coastal breezes are strong.
