Oak Bay Golf Course sits along the eastern shore of the Georgian Bay at the southern tip of Muskoka. The course was carefully carved from the beautiful woodland setting. Rocky outcroppings and sparkling water hazards accent the landscape, providing interesting hazards throughout. The course designer, Shawn Watters, transformed the former nine-hole Sunnylea course into a demanding championship round. Many of the holes play right along the water, putting them at the mercy of the blustery sea breezes. The par 3s are especially long and tough, even from the beginner-friendly white tees. Oak Bay's 15th is a particularly memorable example. It's one of the golf course's toughest holes, featuring an intimidating green perched on top of a massive granite outcropping. You'll want to bring an extra club, at least as a safety measure, to avoid meeting a watery grave in the marshy lake.
