Emerald Pines
This is a great little course, with a variety of holes and well conditioned greens. The course play quite short. Anyone under a 20 handicap should really be playing from the back tees and even then you will see a 230 yard par 4.
That said, there are some challenges here. The greens are very small and most have serious slopes to them. They are well maintained and ran faster then you would think for a golf course at this price. There are challenging longer holes as well. One particular par 5 is over 550 yards that requires a few good shots.
When you consider the value of this course ( we paid $5 hot deal) it is simply impossible to say anything is wrong or less then expected at this course. There was no drink cart service, the fairways could have been better, but when you ask yourself could you have had a better golf experience for $5? It's not possible.
Side note. This is an easy course to walk, however if you are interested in riding and it wasn't included from golfnow, the course charges $15 per rider for 18 holes.
this course needs more attention.
Last we played this course they were in the process of fixing the bunkers with new sand a great improvement.
Ineresting layout. Greens are small but fair.
At bargain prices this is a great value.
The greens are small but fair and in very good condition. Some fairways are in poor condition but overall the course is in reasonable shape and the layout is quite challenging.
This course is fun to play
This is a well designed fun course that I highly recommend for high handicaps, new golfers and juniors. A couple of par 4s that a hole in one is possible. Quick to play with great prices and super friendly staff. Fairways need a little more maintenance and the many green have slopes but all are smooth and the speeds match the practice green
Good course for the learner/ novice
This course has great potential, just needs a bit of money spending in certain areas to improve the experience.
My only concern was that the yardage markers were not visible as they were discs in the ground, and could not be easily found, I suggested to them that they should have posts, like most courses do.
Greens were in great shape, fairways pretty good, but not all, some are low lying and tend to flood when it rains, hence not much good grass to play your shot from.
We booked our round as a hot deal and for $5 each we were more than satisfied, nice friendly staff made it even more of a good day.
Cottage course
Super friendly staff !
Fairways need work. I found some tees very hard.
Brought my kids and we had great time.
great value
this course is a great value. It was not crowded and offered an enjoyable afternoon. The course has many rough spots and requires maintenance..but is still a great value.
not bad for what I paid
greens not bad, small fairways are poor, layout was better than expected
Great course for hot weather
Great course and great staff. i would recommend playing the course. it was worth the drive.
Very happy with the course
Had a good day, just too hot. It wasnt overbooked so we werent waiting which was perfect.
Great greens, nice layout.
Got a Hot Deal from Golfnow, 18 holes for $5 a player, that is not a typo. Didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised, Beautiful greens and sand traps, Fairways in rough shape. Tee blocks in good shape. Tough back 9, not much room for error. I would definitely play this course again.
Interesting Local Course ( Must Play)
Got a great deal on Golfnow, to play this course, so my wife and I made a day of it to travel from Oshawa to Fort Erie area. The course is a local course converted from what seemed to be farm land. Front Nine very tricky with trees and hidden ponds. This is a Links style course. Target golf is the only way to play. Back nine more straight and flat, but still links style. Greens were in immaculate shape, but the fairways our first cuts around the fairways are very hard. Tip) your approach to the greens you must bounce the ball in front. Also the greens were hard to stuck. Challenging course. Must play if you are in the area. Also club house and staff were great. Local prices.
Great course for beginner golfers
I would highly recommend playing this course in the early season or if you are a beginner golfer.
Great value on nice, quiet course
Reasonable course, plays relatively fast, yet challenging with lots of water hazards and mature trees. Staff are great.
Great value, even after the course was flooded.
I played this course after 3 days of torrential rain. One hole was completely underwater from tee to green. Three holes were closed but still had a good day. Great service from the staff and an interesting layout means I'll be back to try it again when the floodwaters recede.
