Great golf in the north
Had a great time playing a couple of rounds on this course during a recent visit to the area. The course was in good condition but the greens were in excellent shape and very, very fast.
The layout is challenging but fair, and not overly long. The course is set in the woods so anything off the fairway is thick and not conducive to looking for wayward balls. The trade off for this is that there is usually some wildlife to be seen close by during the round.
My rounds during this trip averaged a very enjoyable 3hrs and 20 mins which is a very refreshing change and at <$50 for walking, I find the course a great value.
I've always enjoyed the course and will continue to make a point of playing it when in the area.
A jewel in the north
-scenic and fun
-surprisingly challenging
-back 9 an easy walk but front 9 has a few holes that may tire you out if walking
Recommend you play this course at least once.
This course is a surprise. It is well maintained, greens in excellent condition, well documented to direction of each hole. Hole layout presented on a large picture-like guide. It is scenic and has well defined holes separated by trees and rough. It has some challenging holes if you are playing on the blues or golds and relatively easy playing off the reds. The only negative would be a few blind holes but there was plenty of fairway to work with. Found staff both friendly and helpful.
Great course in Northern Ontario
An isolated wonder. Few courses in Nothern Ontario are of this quality.Tree lined fairways in immaculate shape. Large, fast, smooth greens with subtle breaks . A great place to play!
