Sand Point Golf Course

Arnprior's Sand point golf course is a beautiful setting to play golf in. The facilities, equipment, and the care taken by the grounds keeping staff are high quality. The twilight pace of play is, however, in need of greater speed and/or marshalling. Despite getting our round for a discounted rate, golfers expect to be able to complete holes in a reasonable amount of time.

Pin placements made greens a bit tough, but a very good - and pretty - course to play on.

Got a good deal on GolfNow and had never played this course. even though I have lived in the area for years. Staff is very friendly and course has a very casual feel to it. The holes are plenty long. The greens are very tricky and often when I did hit a green, the ball would trickle off to the edge. I would call this course a "hidden gem".

Everyone around were pleasant and friendly. Course was great to play. Hit a bucket of balls and practiced putting prior to game. Only that would have made it better was the sun shining and a few degrees warmer. Cheers

First time playing this course and would go back. Course was in very good condition. Minimal water hazards, fair amount of bunkers. Reasonable women tees. Fairly flat so easy to walk. Nice location on the Ottawa river. The only negative was slow play the day we were there and no marshal to move things along.

The 17th hole 200 yards par 3 - got a hole in one. my first, thank you Arnprior for the pin placement.

Course was in excellent conditions. Greens were fast, pin placement made putts difficult. Definitely will go back again!

Greens are very fast and don't hold approach shots. Hit your approach shots to the front edge of the green and you'll bounce on close.

Old course set in the Ottawa Valley built in the 1920's... I love older courses that are well maintained. This course features tougher pin positions and undulating greens. A pleasure to play with a great staff.

The age of the course says it all. The trees are mature and the fairways lush. Despite a recent rain the greens did not hold well and were fairly quick. If you know the greens well, it is important to approach from below the pin.

Awesome track, old school, well groomed, small quick greens. A great value and hidden gem.

Course played great greens were fast and the course condition was excellent.

Some foursome slowed us down for 4 holes before allowing us to play through only negative about the round

This is a great golf course with fast, true greens, lush fairways and and challenging layout. Nice views of the Ottawa River. Course is in amazing shape.

Playing this golf course over the years,

Rough around the fairways could be cut a bit shorter.
More you play it more you like it.

first time playing this course, pleasantly surprised by the excellent course condition.

I have lived in the area for nearly eight years but just golfed this course for the first time. It really is a hidden gem. While it is close to the town, it is in the middle of nowhere... but let me reassure you, it is worth the drive.

The staff were very welcoming and the members that we got paired up with were great. We were treated as if we were members, although it was our first time on the course. It was helpful to have some "old-timers" to help us navigate around some of the more confusing transitions between golf holes.

If I had to think of a down-side, I would say that the fairways are rather bumpy... this results in spilled drinks and possible spilled passengers. :) Additionally, the score cards need to be updated because of some course changes.

This was a good course. I hope to return soon.
I highly recommend this course to you... trust me, it is worth the drive!

Nice conditions. Great value for money. The scorecard has errors and needs to be updated but all in all very enjoyable and great for beginners as the course is very open

It's never been in such incredible condition.
Hats off to the groundskeepers and management.

Course is in awesome shape. New green on 3 is 99% ready and putting very well. All tee boxes, fairways and greens are in excellent condition. Overall course condition is among the best in the entire Ottawa Valley. You will not find a better course anywhere in the area for this value.....
