The Highlands Course is one of two 18-hole golf courses at the Horseshoe Resort. This challenging course has been rated one of Canada’s top public golf courses and it also hosted the Canadian Tour Championship in 2006. The layout is unique in that none of the tree-lined fairways run parallel to one another. There are more than 50 sand bunkers throughout the course and the rolling terrain requires tricky uphill and downhill approaches, but the player-friendly landing areas are quite generous. There is plenty of variety throughout the golf course with fairways ranging from flat to hilly and greens ranging from small and flat to large and undulating. The club provides a formidable test that will have golfers using all the clubs in their bag.
