Combo - links and woodland

This course is carved out of old farm land. The owner have done an very good job of creating a playable golf course. The fairways are fairly generous. There are two or three bling tee shots - however of you read up on the course prior to playing this will not come as a surprise. Your target lines are outlined. The rough is fair however if you drive really wind the airfield will make it difficult to find your ball. The greens are generous and very receptive. They are well maintained and have good speed. Shots short of the green will be gobbled up by the longer grass. Staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend playing this course for a fun round. The course is very walkable however there are two holes where it is a trek from green to the next tee.

Worth the play

Have played this course several times and found it in good shape. Stay in the fairways (isn't that the thing everywhere). As a cart user I found the front nine cart path extremely rough. Needs a little TLC but other than that absolutely no complaints. Lots of tee boxes. At GolfNow's hot deal its well worth the play.

my best round yet

As a mid to high handicapper I had an ace on a par three and shot -1 par on the back nine. Great golf day!

owned the golf course

one of those magical days where the only people you saw on the course were the grounds crew and cart girl.
Great deal on the green fees too.

This course is very fun

Penn Hills is a challenging but rewarding course to play and is one of my favorites by far! With many Tee boxes to choose from, Penn Hills is a great course for all skill levels. Highly recommend.

Lots of winter kill

The fairways were in good shape they hadn't been mowed in a few days but that was because of the weather. The person in the pro shop let us go early because there was a foursome in front of us and they would have held us up. They must have a good junior program because later in the day we saw quite a few young lads and girls golfing with what appeared to be a instuctor. The putting greens were in not the best shape but it wasn't the fault of the staff in any way. The staff were courteous and helpful

Awesome course

I really enjoyed this course. It was in excellent condition. A couple of the greens had some rough spots but overall the best course I played this year. I would recommend it to my friends. It was worth the money. The staff was friendly.

Very enjoyable

Great course. Lots of water and elevations. U need to place your shots to make a good score. Greens in great shape. Large with lots of tricky breaks. Nice views of the river and area.

Good, challenging course

Plays as 2 distinct courses. Front 9 is tight challenging wooded areas that require accurate shots. Back 9 meanders along the river and is effected greatly by any wind. Greens are recoverng well from a brutal winter and play much faster than my home course adding to the challenge of the multitiered sloping greens. Did not use the dining room.
