Spring Golf
Greens were fine for this time of the year
Slow but consistent just what you should expect for spring golf here in Manitoba
Fareways don’t give you any extra footage
Which is normal for spring golf
Some spring water that shouldn’t keep you from playing a nice spring golf game
Consider the extra water a game hazards

Tougher than average.
You can lose a lot of balls at this course if you don't hit it straight or if the wind is strong. Most of the bush is not terribly thick, so you have a chance to find your ball, but again, after 5 minutes of looking, you need to take a drop and move on. One of the par 5 has an island green that must accumulate hundreds of balls a week. I lose a ball in the water on that hole more than I don't. There are some holes where you can unleash your driver, but some of them are just long enough to make getting there in regulation tough. This is one of my favorite courses in the Winnipeg area and it is definitely tougher than most.
Average course with potential
I have now played this course three times and although it is a decent round of golf, it does not excite me. Course conditions are quite poor when considered in relation to the green fee charged. Course has a lot of potential but it doesn't appear money is being invested in the course itself. One green in particular on a par 3 was mostly mud and squares of uneven turf last time. Might be alright for the casual golfer who plays a few times a month but there are better values in Southwestern Winnipeg and surrounding area.
Always a joy to play
I have played this course many times and it is always a joy to play. It has the best staff of any course in Manitoba. They are friendly, helpful and always smiling. The course itself is fun to play. There are a few blind shots you have to play. It also has an island green on the par 5 9th hole. For the most part the course is in good shape. There is one bad green only because it was changed and has not grown in properly yet. I highly recommend this course to all golfers.
