Shuswap National
About
Shuswap National's (formerly known as Canoe Creek Golf Course) unique design brings you a bit of the British Isles, offering more than 7,000 yards of open fields, grass-faced bunkers and striking water features including creeks, waterfalls, fountains and natural marshes. Fescue defines many of the fairways at Shuswap National. The course welcomes both walkers and riders; it features grass-style cart paths that blend with the natural feel of the area. Dave Barr's first signature course, Shuswap National is well known for its immaculate hybrid A4 bentgrass greens, which are open, accessible and very receptive to approach shots, but challenge with subtle undulations.

Take your camera - wonderful vistas
Don't knock yourself out. Play a realistic set of tees and you will really enjoy your round. Played with a newbie and a lady, so we all played from the Reds.
tough not to sight-see. Had to remind myself it was a GOLF game--- Pay attention!!
Extremely Fun Golf Course
Second time we played here, highly recommend taking the trip to play the golf course. Extremely fun course to play.
Great value for money
Great course and excellent value for money.
Only crazy hole is #8; otherwise good course management will allow you to score well.
Course in Great Shape
The condition of the greens and fairways was excellent. The greens are very receptive to approach shots, and the greens were very consistent with respect to putting speed.
This is a very scenic course. Wonderful value thanks to a great deal on GolfNow.
It was a beautiful day, but the course was not very busy. We played in the middle of the day and didn't wait for anyone in front of us, nor did we have anyone on our tail.
Overall, a great golfing experience. We plan to return!
Very nice course
Very nice course. Everything is in awesome condition from clubhouse to course and greens.
Beautiful views from most holes
Mountain style golf which requires a little more thought about shot placement. Course is in great shape and quite challenging.
Beautiful landscape.
The course is in good shape even with the drought conditions in salmon arm.
Great Experience
Played Canoe Creek with my two sons and one of their friends. Course provided challenges for all of us at times. Hard to believe that when we teed off at 8:30 am that we were the only ones on the course. Would certainly play this course again.
Fun track and in super condition
Always an enjoyable place to play with friendly, appreciative staff.
Greens are back to the high standards they have been in past years.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND
First and foremost we would like to single out one staff members -- MARTY. It was our first time at CANOE CREEK and he made our experience at the facility very pleasant and enjoyable.
Highly recommend CANOE CREEK. The greens role very true and are indeed receptive to well hit shots. Although there was evidence of some winter kill issues, only one green presented any negative play as a result and this was very minor in nature and did not deter from the enjoyment of the course.
The elevation changes make for some interesting holes. Properly played tee-balls allow one to score well.
Overall one of if not the best facility in the area.
Thanks again MARTY!!!
Great course
Great course with some really nice holes. Nice condition and super accommodating staff. Thanks for a great day.
Challenging but Great!
We found the course very challenging because of all the doglegs. It is a beautiful course and the weather was excellent. Some of the greens were winter damaged and there were three substitute greens that were not very good. When the greens grow back to normal, this will be one of the best courses in the area.
Love it.
challenging but very playable
Very enjoyable day. Spectacular weather and scenery. Greens were a little worse for wear and three temporary greens that were terrible.
Green damage
The only disappointing thing was some temporary greens and other greens damaged and nobody mentioned them.
Extreme weather warning but turned out perfect
We started our round with ominous clouds overhead and the prediction of thunder and lightening. After about 5 holes the winds pushed the clouds east of us and the temperature became warmer with the sun breaking through but there was enough wind to keep everyone cool.
Especially loved the beautiful views, the variety of natural, coniferous trees in the forests along side the fairways as well as all the gorgeous fountains, waterfalls, and ponds. The scenery helped make our game interesting and relaxing. Beautiful course!
Love it!
We have played Canoe Creek 4 times now and have always enjoyed the course immensely. The course is beautifully kept, staff are extremely pleasant, and the scenery is outstanding. We will be back!
temporary greens
A little winter kill and some temporary greens but not too bad
Scenic and challenging
Course has a bit of winter kill this year, but early season rate is fair. The course has a very interesting layout with many subtle variations between tight fairways on some holes and generous on others. Most approach shots are narrow and many into crowned greens with hazards for errant shots.
The most enjoyable part of this course is the rolled and mostly quick greens. They putt true and consistent.
Great deal.
Always seem to get a great deal here. Was end of the year, and with that in consideration the course was great. Only complaint was half the greens were punched and half weren't. But like I said, end of the year, what can you ask for? Love the variety of holes and the challenging greens.
Kelowna Golfer
Nice country course, great deals on Golfnow. Not overly long with a mix of some straightforward holes and seceral difficult holes that put a premium on accurate shot making. Will challenge all levels of players and can be enjoyed by intermediate and advanced players. Greens are consistent and true. Worth the trip to a little bit out of the way location.
