Excellent conditions!

I have the pleasure to play this course 3 to 4 times a month and after reading some comments about its deterioration decided to take several photos during my round today. As usual, the conditions were optimal, in fact playing on a sunny day and at 78F is hard to beat... must say that it was windy and this brings a new level of diffiulty to the course and I pay the price in a few holes, ha!. See you next Saturday at the Olympic Golf Course, tee time is 7:30am! Cheers!

A must play course in Rio

Rumors that his course was not being maintained after the Olympics were completely inaccurate. Course was in excellent condition. Greens were perfect, rolled great and were quick. There is no rough on the course, other than the tall /wild grass areas. With the wind coming off the ocean, it was fairly breezy. Price is about $115 USD. Staff there were very nice and helpful. Excellent practice facility. There isn't really much of a 19th hole amenity. You can get a snack, beverage and beer. Great views. You cannot see ocean from the course. They have rentals if you need them. You can walk, have a caddie or take a cart. When I am back, I will play again. Of the three courses in Rio, I would rank 1) Olympic, 2) Itanhanga and 3) Gavea. All three are excellent courses, but Olympic is a must play.
