Fun corporate-style retreat of a course

If you find yourself playing The ACE Club, chances are you’ve got some juice. Developed mainly as a retreat for hosting corporate clients, the whole facility is built to impress. It’s got a big clubhouse, impeccable service and wonderful practice facilities.

The course is solid as well. The site Gary Player and Warren Henderson had to work with - a former Rees Jones course that was completely blown up - has a lot of movement, with a long stream running through it. It lends itself to a large-scale course, which is exactly what was delivered. Wide fairways, big bunkers and thick rough reward strategic play, and the large greens have a good amount of movement. Overall, ACE is an interesting counterpoint to Philadelphia’s mostly intimate, old clubs. Its relative seclusion makes it feel like it's much farther from a big city than it really is.

Tremendous

Standing on the first tee, one quickly realizes the awesomeness of this magnificent course. Immaculate conditions everywhere. Lasered teeing grounds, distinct outlines of fairways and rough. Unparalleled topography and constant elevation changes make this course stand out. The excitement of playing this course starts with arriving at the practice area and putting complex.
Be sure not to rush to the first tee; take your time warming up and learn the speed of the greens. Prepare for lengthy putts as some of the greens are enormous in size. Forced carries and breathtaking sights stimulate anyone with a decent game. This course can be enjoyed by higher handicap players as long as they select the correct tee box. Remember the new motto: Tee it forward!
