Study the good golf books and work on that mental game. I just shot my first under-par round last year - less than 2 years after picking up golf regularly. Fred Shoemaker, Extraordinary Golf, and Extraordinary Putting are his two books dealing exclusively with what is going on in the mind and to find "your" natural swing.
