Yikes Bill, what are you smoking? Sergio is as good a ball striker as anyone. He is a strong competitor in match play. He is very popular with the ladies. He makes very funny beer commercials, but contending and closing at Augusta? Not on your life. Not in his 20's. He is simply too unstable mentally coming down the stretch. Take a look at his Sunday stats and he is a good 4 or 5 shots over Tiger on Sunday. He hasn't sunk a meaningful putt on a Sunday in recent memory. Put him head to head with Tiger on Sunday, and we saw that already at the PGA. Rightly he wore Yellow as in surrender. Within two holes he had lost. I am sorry, you just can't point to anywhere in his career he has shown he can match and beat any of the guys who will be in the hunt at Augusta.

I´m in northern Spain right now, and loathe to criticize a guy who sponsored me in my upcoming golf marathon. However, Garcia will not win a major ever. He is no Morgan Pressel.

I'm thinking either Vijay Singh or Charles Howell III will win The Masters because everyone (and their mother) is picking Tiger Woods.

Tiger will probably win BUT...

Nyet. I like Sergio, but he isn't strong enough mentally to win at Augusta.

I agree with you he has enormous talent, but his putter isn't confident enough to win a major like the masters.
