Rupert Murdoch has changed his mind about crossing the line and cancelled both the book and the show. His NewsCorp owns the book publisher and, of course, Fox. Here's an excerpt from his written statement I found on marketwatch.com:

“I and senior management agree with the American public that this was an ill-considered project.

“We are sorry for any pain that this has caused the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson.”

Boycott OJ! Don't watch the show, don't buy the book, don't blog about his book or show and don't read blogs that do. It's despicable and disrespectful at its best, and that's even IF it were only an IF.

I'm disappointed that you stooped to make this association, WKW, but I'll let this one slide only for you because I'm usually so entertained by your writing and your ability to turn any story into a blog post on golf.

But I have to ask: Does a line exist that you won't cross for a couple more hits and comments? (I wince at the possibility that my own comment is probably only egging on more.)

So now OJ will finally tell the
"hypothetical" truth of the
slayings. There's no "if" about
it. He's guilty. Who drives with
a gun to their head on a police
escort chase. He's guilty.
Johnny Cochran was a genius for
his case, but the truth remains
...and the evidence supports it.
He's only now feeling a bit of
courage to publicly state the
truth by inconspicuous means.
Forget the "if's". OJ Simpson
is GUILTY!!!
