Tiger Woods: One of us! One of us!
When I first heard of Tiger Woods car accident today, my first thoughts were for his health. Then, after learning he’s fine and already home, I started thinking what fantastic news this is for all of us.
You see, for years, Tiger Woods has thwarted our ability to roundly mock him. The dude never messes up, and when he does - like when he goes from Tiger to Sailor on the golf course - it gets under reported.
But this, well, dare I say in the history of Tiger Woods, this is just unprecedented. Passing out at the wheel of an Escalade and being rescued by your golf-club-wielding wife? That’s some old-school John Daly stuff, right there.
So first off, let me just say it’s great to hear that Tiger and his family are fine. Secondly, a thank you to Tiger. Because he’s shown himself to be human finally, the rest of us feel a little better.
As for speculating on why this happened and what it means, you’ll have to look elsewhere. That’s not what we do here. They do it over here, though.

I wonder if there are any photos?
HA ha ha ha
I love Tiger, but he really screwed up. He was so perfect off the course for so long. This has really made up for that. This is really going to get Uglier & Uglier
It is already happening, but my worst fear when this whole thing got started was that golf journalism would end up looking like the tabloids. Granted, all these women are providing some disasterous ammunition, but I feel like there's a fine line here that golf writers should not cross, because most of what's going on right now is really only Tiger's business.
Now, the overall effect these events will have on the golf industry...that's something else. This will be an interesting year for golf to say the least.
