Ladies, been wandering around thinking how much life would be better if only you could smell like golf superstar Annika Sorenstam? Well wait no longer:
HALL OF FAME GOLFER ANNIKA SORENSTAM PARTNERS WITH SA FRAGRANCES TO LAUNCH SIGNATURE FRAGRANCE WORLDWIDE
(Boston,MA; October 27, 2008)– SA Fragrances announced today their plan to develop a signature fragrance inspired by legendary golfer Annika Sorenstam. Set to be released in advance of Mother’s Day 2009, the fragrance will evoke the essence of Annika, a distinctive, casually elegant and naturally beautiful woman.
Arguably the most dominant female golfer of all time, Annika has transcended her sport to become a prominent mainstream athlete and celebrity. Throughout her storied career, she has rewritten the LPGA and Ladies European Tour record books, won countless awards and events and brought unprecedented attention to women’s golf. Along the way, she has inspired millions of young women worldwide.
“With her decision to step away from competitive golf at the end of 2008, the timing is excellent for an athlete of Ms. Sorenstam’s caliber to enter the world of fine fragrances,” said Jon Klein, Vice President of Sales of SA Frangrances. “Like Annika, the fragrance will be casually elegant and unpretentious. There is nothing more seductive than natural beauty.”
Marking the first time a professional female golfer has launched a signature fragrance, ANNIKA will particularly appeal to golf enthusiasts, career-minded professionals and active, fashion-forward women.
“It is an honor for me to have a fragrance that bears my name,” said Annika. “Confidence is so alluring for a woman in any industry, and I want the women who wear ‘ANNIKA’ to feel that.”
As if life for female golfers could get any better. Now, you can smell like Annika while replenishing your electrolytes with Tiger Gatorade while listening to John Daly sing “All My Ex’s Wear Rolexes.”
We are living in spectacular times, friends. Spectacular times that smell distinctly like Annika Sorenstam.

I think we can cut Annika some slack considering that she is nearing the end of her career, she needs to leave a lasting impression, oops fragrance. What's the word on Tigerade?? Or is it Tiger Gatorade? There was so much hype and hoopla before it was launched but nothing much about it after it hit the stores. Or are they also waiting for Tiger to be in action once again before giving it a renewed thrust?
