With Tiger Woods injured, someone else will win FedEx Cup

Friday June 27, 2008 | 15:51:12 138 words, 7228 views

When Tiger Woods announced he’d be missing the rest of the 2008 PGA Tour season, I was somewhat bummed. Honestly, no one wants to see a top athlete sidelined due to injury. Ask someone older than 60 about Mickey Mantle and they’ll tell you.

One thing I didn’t think of was this fact:Someone else will be the FedEx champion in 2008. Do you know what this means? Ok, me neither, but it’s a fact.

So who will ultimately win the FedEx Cup? Who cares! Seriously, if Tim Finchem can’t even hype the FedEx Cup on his own blog (which hasn’t been updated in more than two months), then I see no reason for caring.

So who will win the 2008 FedEx Cup? Not Tiger Woods. And hopefully, that will be enough to get them to scrap the whole thing in 2009.
