Tiger Woods on course at Masters while his followers await his latest sign

Thursday April 10, 2008 | 02:00:11 pm 176 words, 3870 views

At Augusta National, Tiger Woods is officially on the course, and soon golf fans will see if he’s on course for another Masters triumph and another step toward Jack Nicklaus’s all-time record for major titles.

Of course, some will be following his actions much more closely than others. At The First Church of Tiger Woods, for example (www.tigerwoodsisgod.com), faithful worshipers will be following Woods every move in search for the latest sign from the deity of their choice.

The brainchild of radio show host John Ziegler, the First Church of Tiger Woods contains updates, testimonials, polls and other Tiger-centric information.

“Celebrating the emergence of the ‘true’ messiah,” the church even features its own 10 commandments and cheesy organ music. And the Masters is their biggest holiday so things should be festive. “Thou shall always keep holy the Masters” is the Fourth Commandment, after all.

So go enjoy Pastor Ziegler’s hard work. And remember, while a Tiger Woods Church may seem the ultimate in crazy theological beliefs, it’s still light years more believable than Scientology.

Fyrebug has a fairly satisfying Tiger Woods Grand Slam game... Instead of wack-a-mole your hitting a golf ball with a wedge at Augusta National http://www.fyrebug.com/?p=5206 - they claims it's Hole 10 --wherever-- at least I can pretend I'm on the green and not at work.

I'm not a scientologist, but as a concerned citizen I strongly protest against this religious bigotry directed at scientology. A lot of peer reviewed scientific research has proven the effectivity of auditing, the emeter, our drug rehabilitation work or brainwashing in general.

Dear "I'm not a Scientologist"

Rubbish.- L Ron Hubbard's lies fooled me for ten years, but that was back before there was an internet where I could check up on a few facts...what is your excuse?

Wow...I actually AGREE with the Wolfster for a change! Well, only in that scientology is a major pile of bull-corn! I live near Clearwater FL (the newest 'takeover spot' for these weirdos) and they are truly SCARY.
