Stars to come out as USC hosts golf tournament to benefit baseball team
Get ready for the USC Baseball Classic Golf Tournament, coming Nov. 20 at the Dove Canyon Country Club in Dove Canyon in Southern California.
The cost is $375 per person or $1,500 for a foursome. The entry fee includes continental breakfast, lunch, deluxe tee prizes, golfing with a celebrity in each group and post-tournament awards dinner.
Past tournaments have seen a cavalcade of stars like Mark Prior and Aaron Boone, while this year fans are hoping to be delighted by the presence of more great former Trojans’ stars, with the possibility of them holding pre-tournament seminars. On the wish list:
– 2005 Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush, talking about proper student-agent relationships;
– Baseball star Mark McGwire on the pharmaceutical industry;
– 1968 Heisman Trophy winner O.J. Simpson on how to murder people with a knife;
– 2004 Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart on how to treat a woman like a lady, and be Nick Lachey’s buddy without feeling like a total tool;
– And finally, former football star Marion Morrison on how to make war look super-fantastic and getting everyone to think you’re a super-patriot when you’re really just a war-dodging, chain-smoking actor.
Funds from the event will be used for projects at Dedeaux Field which include new batting cages, a new scoreboard and padding for the outfield fence. Be there! Go Trojans!
