Really sad news. Strangely, I was reading an article about Mike Stranz last night and thinking that he died far too young. His company was called Maverick Course design (or something close), and he and Steve Irwin were very similar in their respective fields. The world is defintely a little less exciting with the two of them gone.

At least Steve Irwin died doing what he loved.

Good comparison, Spencer. Mike was one of a kind.

Steve Irwin was a special man! He was very brave to encounter so many deadly animals! It's so sad to see him pass on by this freak accident and at such a young age. I still just can't wrap my head around the idea that he's gone. And that is coming from me someone who has never met him before. I can't imagine what it is like for someone who was close to him. Australia is losing a great man, Steve will be missed greatly by so many people. I give great sympathy to Terri, Bindi Sue and Bob.

With all the chances he took, probability dictated that he eventually was going to get hurt. Also, a man with a family shouldn't play fast and loose with his life. Now his children are fatherless and his wife is a single mother.
