Golfer Supremacy Rankings reward Tiger Woods for his 2007 Masters victory

Occasionally even the Golfer Supremacy Rankings are incorrectly tabulated, which means just one thing – we need to change the rules until we’re right again.

That being said, the anticlimax that was the Masters has shaken things up on the GSR’s, and a female teenager has broken finally broken through with a big victory to get the respect she deserves.

Golfer Supremacy Rankings

1. Tiger Woods

Comments:
His guaranteed 2007 Masters triumph will be so overwhelming; we have no choice but to rank him No. 1 right now.

2. Song-Hee Kim

Comments:
Kim became the youngest female touring pro to win a professional tournament in the U.S., when she won the Futures Tour’s Louisiana Classic on Sunday at just under 18 years of age. This triumph undeniably makes her the greatest female teenage golfer to ever play on American soil.

3. Phil Mickelson

Comment:
In earning his second Masters title, Mickelson was just relentless, had no issues with nerves, and continued to pile it on while his biggest rivals fell by the wayside. Sunday was very likely the day critics will be forced to stop complaining that Tiger doesn’t have the competition that Nicklaus did. There is no doubt who the best player was in Georgia.

4. Fred Couples:

Comments:
Remember pre-Tiger, when you could find a lot of people standing by the idea that Couples was the best golfer in the world? Well, if you don’t, Freddie reminded you. A stellar and consistent performance by the 46-year-old who has never missed a Masters cut in 21 tries, and was in contention for his second title until the end.

5. Sergio Garcia

Comments:
By holding off Ben Crenshaw to take sole possession of 46th place at the Masters, Garcia quiets critics who say he can’t rise to the occasion at a major.

Random factoid: After flirting with the lead, Spain’s Miguel Angel Jimenez ended up in a tie for 11th place, the best-ever finish at a major for a guy dressed so creepily.

Miguel Angel Jimenez: The greatest performance
ever by a man dressed like a chubby, hairy Zinger.
