She’s also earned the No. 1 ranking in the official first occasional William K. Wolfrum Golfer Supremacy Rankings.

Unlike many rankings which can be accused of showing bias, the WKWGSR’s will be the World’s most fair ranking of true golf greatness. 1. Sophie Sandolo

Comments: Who cares if you don’t think the Princess Lalla Meriem Cup demands much respect. Sophie’s a winner, baby! And did it in a playoff to boot. Sadly, she only finished sixth in Page 2’s Hottest Female Athlete Contest, but we’ll blame that on the fact the ESPN’s site sucks and that Tanith Belbin is just blazing.

2. Dakoda Dowd

Comments: At 12, she’s racked up about 200 amateur trophies and will receive a sponsor’s exemption to play at the Ginn Clubs & Resorts Open in Orlando, Fla. Some day, she very well could become the best female golfer in the world. So let’s rate her No. 2 for now and then see how it all plays out.

3. Meena Lee

Comments: South Koreans dominating the LPGA Tour has many upsides, most of all for headline writers, who are loving the possibilities of getting the top-5 golfers of an LPGA tournament into a single headline: “Lee tops Lee, Han, Jang, Kim to win”

4. Geoff Ogilvy

Comments: Put things together at the Match Play Championships. Some complain of a dull start to the PGA schedule this year, but they have to be happy seeing guys like Holmes, Ogilvy and Campbell get wins, while Tiger still gets a couple and even Rory Sabbatini gets back in the win column. A nice foundation has been laid for 2006.

5. Tiger Woods

Comments: Ok, the thumping of Stephen Ames was classic. But, regardless of that or of the unbelievable hotness of wife Elin, zero victories in more than a month means Woods is heading toward complete and utter obscurity.
