Michael Savage takes on the best of golf in battle of wits
One of our loyal readers, Under Par, made a comment in Tim McDonald’s blog on why Dick Cheney should golf rather than hunt:
“Just so you know, conservatives have far better senses of humor than liberals could ever hope to. Ever hear of Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage? Just try and find a liberal host who could match the latter’s wit.”
Not being one to shirk from a challenge, I thought I’d switch it up a bit and see if I could find golfers that could match wits with Savage, the loquacious radio talk-show host and herbalist.
Whose Wit is Under Par?
Michael Savage:
“Oh, you’re one of the sodomites! You should only get AIDS and die, you pig! How’s that? Why don’t you see if you can sue me, you pig? You got nothing better than to put me down, you piece of garbage? You got nothing to do today? Go eat a sausage and choke on it. Get trichinosis. Okay, got another nice caller here who’s busy because he didn’t have a nice night in the bath house and is angry at me today?”
Golfer: Dave Hill:
“Gay Brewer swings the club in a figure eight. If you didn’t know better, you’d swear he was trying to kill snakes.”
Michael Savage:
“With the [Latino] population that has emerged, since they breed like rabbits, in many cases the whites will become a minority in their own nation … The white people don’t breed as often for whatever reason. I guess many homosexuals are involved. That is also part of the grand plan, to push homosexuality to cut down on the white race”
Golfer: Lee Trevino:
“The older I get the better I used to be.”
Michael Savage:
“When you hear ‘human rights,’ think gays. When you hear ‘human rights,’ think only one thing: someone who wants to rape your son.”
Golfer: Jimmy DeMaret:
“Golf and sex are the only things you can enjoy without being good at them.”
There you have it. A true wit-fest if I’ve ever seen one. And it really could go either way.
On the golfer’s end, you get witticisms from some of the greats, giving tasty little morsels of humor that especially will tickle golfers.
From Michael Savage, you get an herbal-medicine author making broad comments that will surely delight the aging, former Andrew Dice Clay crowd. This leads us to the ultimate question:
Which is wit?

Willie, listen, I don't really have a horse in this race. I have no association with Savage and he doesn't need me or anyone else to buttress his cause. But if you think he's not the wittiest man in the media, you've never listened to him.
And you haven't. You simply used to search engine to dredge up some of the more controversial comments he has made. Or, did you log on to one of the leftist, "watchdog" sites? LOL.
I really have to wonder if you have to be a left-wing, mind-numbed robot to ascend to the lofty position of blogger at TravelGolf.com. I mean, we've got Tiny-brain Tim, Willie the Wussy, and Half-cocked Al. Funny, too, since virtually all professional golfers are Republicans.

Thanks you human football with hair.
I agree 100% with Savage's sentiments there. Hollywood is carrying water for the homosexual lobby, and only the most obtuse don't realize it.
Anyway, Savage's commentary loses much of its appeal when printed. After all, there's a big difference between the written and spoken word. What constitutes beauty and effectiveness in the former is quite different than that which does in the latter. I'm a writer, and I can guarantee you that I wouldn't do radio in a way that corresponded closely to the form of my written commentary.
Hey, Willie, good job! You won Savage a couple of more listeners. Imagine that, you write an article about another commentator, and it wins him more of an audience than it does you!
That's a sarcastic way of saying, decent human beings don't care what you or Mr. Weiner think.
Savages statements quoted above are not uncharacteristic. Do you listen to him? These are not statements taken out context because they are now written down to read instead of being heard. Do you listen to him?
Those comments are the tripe he regurgitates everyday, as you say, 3 hours a day 5 days a week. Do you listen to him? He has a lot to say about “vile”, and “filth”. The true vile and filth is his in heart, his spirit and his mind. Do you listen to him?
Start thinking for yourself!
