Sophie Sandolo is in contention for ESPN Page 2’s “Hottest Female Athlete of the Year,” and we must help her win.
Speaking to the 29-year-old Sandolo for a recent WorldGolf.com article, I asked her if she had any trepidation regarding turning 30 this year. When she said no, I mentioned that I will be turning 40 soon, which is much worse, anyway.
“Oh, but for men, turning 40 is not bad at all. In fact it is very good,” said Sandolo in her fabulous Italian-accented English.
This is why we must make a sustained effort to vote Ms. Sandolo as the hottest of the hot.
ESPN holds this event after the Super Bowl, with the publish date set for February 13 (my 39th birthday, by the way. Are you seeing the cosmic importance of her winning??).
The voting will take place then, on ESPN.com’s Page 2. The only problem I believe we’ll have is that, due to ESPN’s endless tinkering, their entire Web site is one huge, steaming pile of dung. Navigating over there may be more than a common human can handle.
There are links everywhere, streaming video is taking place throughout the page, and pictures keep changing. You pretty much need a T1 connection to get the full effect of the Web site, and that full effect should have you flopping on the ground in full epileptic fit in a matter of seconds.
But, let us not dwell on the hardcore sucktacularness of ESPN.com. Let us rejoice in Sophie Sandolo’s hotness, and do all we can to ensure her rightful place on top of all hot female athletes.
